Orange Tip

The males are unmistakable thanks to their bright orange wing tips but the females are similar in appearance to other white butterflies. They are, however, readily identified by the green mottling of the underside of the hindwing.

Wingspan: 40-52mm

On the wing: Early April to late June

Foodplant: Mostly crucifers, most commonly cuckooflower and garlic mustard
