Red Admiral, Grey Heron and Small Tortoiseshell

A cool Thursday afternoon and the number of butterfly species to be seen continues to gradually decrease. That being said, five red admirals were spotted on the same buddleia along with a small tortoiseshell. A grey heron also flew invitingly close overhead on Netherton Hill obviously desperate to get his picture taken, and a kingfisher landed in a bush near the pond but it soon disappeared when it spotted me doing my best to sneak up on it. Oh well...
