Coal Tit, Dragonfly, Large White, Buzzard, Painted Lady and Memorial

A perfect warm and sunny Saturday saw me spend the best part of seven hours in and around the wood. Butterfly numbers were up slightly and there were also plenty of dragonflies near the ponds over Netherton Hill. Also spotted in the wood was this memorial plaque - I'll have to try to remember to take another photo next spring when the bluebells are in full blossom.

Butterfly watch (7) - common blue, large white, painted lady, red admiral, small tortoiseshell, small white and speckled wood
